He wept...

Grand Parade by The Reindeer Section

I love the way I feel so calm
although I can hardly wait.
I hear your voice, it feels like rain,
I’ve made my choice, I know.
I taste your skin, it melts and sings,
yes, we can win, I’m sure.
I’ll see your heart like golden fire,
it leads me on for good.

Bring on the sun!

I took a quick trip down to Evansville last night to pick up my motorcycle. It was good to see Mom and Pops. Definitely excited about the warm weather. It needs to get here soon, cuz Matt is aching to ride.

I realized today that I really do love the sun. It came out a few times this afternoon and I found myself just dropping what I was doing and standing in the window, in the warmth of the sun. Good stuff.

I got my grades this week and I ended up passing all my classes - nothing outstanding, but who cares, I'm still in the game and that's great for me.

Oh yeah, if anyone in SC sees Blur, tell him that I went to Epcot last week and hung out in Downtown Disney. He needs to know that, after 23 years, I returned to Disney for a taste of all the goodness that place has to offer.

Look closer...

Everyone! Take a good look at your Nalgene bottles! Look around the threads of the cap and mouth rim, and look on the walls of the inside. I rinse mine out regularly and was surprised to find some black mold growing in the cap and on the inside of the bottle. Very gross! Run a q-tip over that bottle, kids.

Where to start?!

I just got back from spring break in Orlando and I must say that it was an exciting week. And what did I do that was so exciting? Nothing. Absolutely nothing! I forgot how nice that it. In all honesty, I did spend a day in Epcot and went to a great comedy club call The Adventurers' Club in Downtown Disney. If you're ever there - go!

Things continue to progress for the summer. I finally got my official offer from AT&T where they tell me a little more about what I'll be doing and what they'll be paying me. Craziness is all I gotsta say. I don't have to be out there til May 30th though and I'm done with classes May 7th, I think. When are you kids done with school in SC? Let a brotha know!

More to come...

The Pieces are Fitting

AT&T put me in San Francisco! Do you know how stoked I am about that?! Trolley cars! Rice-a-Roni! Arnold Schwarzenegger! Heck yeah! Maybe I'll even get to see the "Full House" house.

Tomorrow I'm also having my final interview for a graduate assistantship for next year. Essentially I will be a liazon between undergraduate students, the dean of the business school, and executive guest speaker for a lecture forum for undergrads on Fridays. This'll be a big financial help. Crazy things may come with this. Most importantly, with the internship and whatnot, I could be getting rid of the Celebrity and buying a newer car! That's right! Power locks, power windows, a seat that can handle my weight. I'm reasonably pumped. The plan is to fly out to San Fran, work all summer, then buy a car out there and drive it back. Any suggestions?

Come. Join Us.

I got the call this morning from AT&T. They gave me a verbal offer so that I would know that they wanted me to join them. The written offer will come later this week. After I return that, they'll make my city assignment. Thank You, Lord! Whether or not I got this internship, You are worthy of praise! But all the more, I thank You for this opportunity and for taking the weight of the job search off my shoulders! Woohoo!

To Make a Mountain of Your Life Is Just a Choice

Finals are over - all is in the hands of God (and Professors Sullivan and Dada). I'm really okay with how things go at this point. I did my best. My stress levels are low and my hopes are high.

Plus, some good things happened this morning. I got a call from the lady that interviewed me from AT&T. She said that they had finalized their list of people that they wanted to make offers to and that I was at the top of their list. She just wanted to make sure that I hadn't accepted an offer from another company and make sure that I was okay with the locations that they were looking to put me. The places, in order of possiblity - San Francisco, San Antonio, Los Angeles. I don't know - those cities all sound kinda lame. And by lame, I mean freakin' awesome!

She said that she would call me back either tonight or Monday to give me the final info and propose an offer. Bring it!
